Springtime! Pit bulls and flowers
It's a bit soon to say that it's *really* spring yet; we did have quite a lot of snow on Saturday, though it melted off quickly. But the last couple of days have at least felt like spring, and it's nice to finally see leaves and flowers!

Bellalooking at the treat in Alex's hand posing in front of the lilacs.

And Cy!
Yesterday was Cy's last vet appointment (please, be the last one for a while...) so that he could get his leptospirosis booster.
After that, we went over to Pelican Pond, not for a real walk, but just to wander down to the water for a minute to enjoy the nice weather. The water in the lake is really high, with all the rain and snow we've been getting.

Cy, majestically standing in the water.

Bella, doing the same.
We did see an osprey out hunting, but that was about the only exciting bird. Heard some towhees and redwing blackbirds.
Today we went for a walk in one of the neighborhood parks, because it was very nice out. (I got my first sunburn of the season, lol.)
Cy was surprisingly energetic and spry. He got a couple brief runs in, even!

The crabapple flowers definitely got knocked around by the snow, so most of the blossoms have fallen off. But there were a few late-bloomers that are very nice right now.

Cy lifted Bella up to have a look. Stop to smell the flowers. :)

And it's lilac time!

All I really wanted was a picture of both dogs in front of the lilacs, but uh... not so cooperative. Bella blep.

Though this one that Alex got is clearly the best!

Alex also got this one of Bella, which is quite good. Captures her general expression pretty well.
We'll see if the weather stays nice! It's probably too much to hope for that we've seen the last of the snow, but I'd really like if it confined itself to rain from here on out!
