7 Point isn't too far from classic 3-Act. It's not TOO hero's journey for me (though I'm real sick of hero's journey and its overstated universality), but... yeah, I think the first few times I used 7 Point it suited the story pretty well... It feels less applicable to things with more interpersonal stakes rather than a story with more of a good vs. evil sort of plot.
I should figure out a good template to save in Scrivener; I've mostly just been starting with blank projects and adding things as I need or think of them. I don't typically do all the sorts of outlining that Snowflake uses (at least not formally; I do plenty of it in my head... until I forget about it), but I want to try it for the next particularly long project and see if it helps.
