Alex has a show he's riding in tomorrow that requires him to be at the facility by 6:30...
So I'm spending the night at my mom's, since I'll have to uber to work in the morning, and her place is slightly closer.
Raven seems glad for the company, if a bit confused why it's still just me, lol.
Hopefully his show goes well - he did a lesson today, and had one of his comes-and-goes health things come up. It's related to one of the nerves in his neck that gets pinched by the herniated disk, but when it acts up, he basically can't breathe, because it functionally paralyzes some of the required muscles. It only ever seems to happen while riding, and it actually mimics the symptoms of heat exhaustion really well. It's worse in the heat, and worse if he hasn't eaten or gets dehydrated... but it isn't actually a blood sugar issue, and the heat alone isn't the culprit. Sometimes he has no issues, other times it resolves pretty quickly, sometimes it lasts a long while, and is really hard to recover from. Today was the latter.
So basically, hoping the show goes better than the practice today did, ugh.

This weekend is going to probably be a rough one at work - we have two big class things this weekend, which sucks. I hate when it gets scheduled that way.

No word from management today on whether they "found" our recert paperwork. Alex wasn't back until the afternoon, and then still felt pretty sick from the earlier bout of nerve-related ick, and they didn't reach out with an "update." So that's probably a Monday problem.

Spending a night alone is weird, lol. Not bad, just weird in its novelty, lol.

I often long for solitude, but on the rare occasion Pip is gone overnight (used to be for fishing trips in Mass), the house makes all kinds of weird noises and I'm all o_O. Also the dogs are antsy because their main man is not home.
I hope you have no more issues with the management company.
And good luck at work today!

Same here! I very rarely have time alone, which is mostly all right. I'm an introvert, and like my alone time, but Alex and I are great at sitting companionably while we do our own things.
But that was absolutely the experience at my mom's - weird house-settling noises, but with no one upstairs to blame it on, so just... weird noises.
I guess we'll find out tomorrow about management...
