Miscellaneous pictures from the last few weeks...
I am SO behind on many things - obviously including everything here! I'm hoping that next week can be a bit of a catch-up week, if nothing else.
Here are some assorted pictures from the last few weeks. Mostly flowers (lots of irises), dogs, a few bugs... basically the usual!

Cy in front of the potentillas.

And Bella in front of the potentillas!

My mom has a beautiful iris bed full of these purple irises. They were divided from irises her grandfather grew, given to her as a housewarming present for the first house she and my dad bought. Every time she's moved since then, she's divided the irises again, leaving some and taking some with her. They're having a beautiful year this year!
I went over to my mom's house for mother's day.

My mom had a baby bunny that started living on her patio. It found its own way there, but stuck around since it's a pretty nice, sheltered, predator-free area. She would bring it plant scraps when she gardened, or young fallen branches from the front area. (Apparently the bunnies like the elm bits.)

Baby bunnies really are just the cutest damn things.

A bee on her catmint.

And an iris blooming in my mom's front garden. She was happy about this one; she moved some irises from a no-sun area where a previous owner had planted them to one with partial sun, and this is the first year they've bloomed.
May 14th was one of our nicest days we'd gotten in a while, so we took the dogs for a walk.

A nice iris at one of the neighborhood parks.

I love these irises with the more intense purple and the yellow.

It was nice to let the dogs hang out outside for a while.

Cy's greatest joy is rolling.
Another really nice day, so we headed back out to a local park to let the dogs stretch their legs. Cy doesn't have a lot of endurance, but it's nice to let both of them run around for a while.

Irises in the park again!

And again!

Bella in the shade!

Cy in the shade!

A very tiny grasshopper in the potentillas.

This one is actually from the following day. Alex got something in a largeish box, so we got Bella to jump into the box. She looks worried about where we're going to ship her to.
I went over to my mom's and Taylor's again last weekend, since they had Monday off.

My mom's iris bed.

A bee on the salvia.

And a nice little broadtailed hummingbird. :)
Also, the bunny has grown up and moved off of the patio. However, it had a distinguishing sort of... lump on its back (maybe a tumor? not something that impacted its ability to move around or anything) and so she can still tell it apart from any of the other bunnies in the complex, and she still sees it around sometimes, ha.
I've been planning to post pics ever since the ones from the 12th, ha.
We have a model show coming up this weekend, so I've got some prep for that, plus I've got just one fic to go to finish up the lingering AUgust fics from last year... but once all of that is done this week, I'm hoping to have time to catch up on things and not feel so perpetually behind!

Content warning: Animal illness
Huh; I wonder if the bunny has shope papilloma virus, the thing that probably inspired jackalopes. ...Be very wary if you look up pictures, they are, uh. Well. The growths are usually on various places on the rabbits' heads, which is. Not precisely pleasant to look at. Since the growth is on the bunny's back, that makes it less likely to be this thing, but looks like it's still possible. On a much more pleasant note, I love all the flower pics, and I'm glad to see that both Cy and Bella are doing well!

Fortunately, I don't think it's too likely to be the case for this bunny. The lump has fortunately not really changed size or shape, and doesn't have any of the hardening of the skin that the papilloma growths seem to develop. (I certainly HOPE it isn't that, for the bunny's sake!)
Always hard to tell on a wild animal, though; it's not like we can do a very thorough exam, ha.
But yes, yay for flowers and dogs doing well!

The baby bunny could go SO ROUND! It was adorable.

THE IRISES GODS. Those are all so beautiful! My sister and aunt (pretty much my sister) planted so many irises at our aunt's place, mostly in the backyard, and I took so many photos of those. They got thicker and thicker every year.

The irises are BEAUTIFUL this year. We saw a ton at the botanic gardens this week - there will be way too many pictures whenever I get caught up on things.
I deeply miss the irises at the house I grew up in. The previous owner had planted them in several beds in the backyard (plus my mom had the beds of her grandfather's irises up front.) There were some amazing colors in the back that I've never seen elsewhere.

The bunny is so cute!

The bunny was SO cute! (Still is, but now it's a lanky teenage bunny rather than a round little puff, lol.)
