Got Taylor's book wishlist for their birthday, and my mom gave me $50 to buy some from her, too. (She realized that by the time they're back at the end of the week, it might be too late to get anything shipped in time for Taylor's birthday.)
Books is pretty much always what Taylor gets for any given holiday, but... same, tbh. And my mom. The three of us just... buy books for each other, perpetually.
Soooo, gotta do that this week!
Gonna house and dog sit all week. That'll be fun - Cy and Raven are about the same age, so they play and wrestle, but mostly at each others' speed, which is nice. We'll probably try to stop by in the mornings, and then for a while in the afternoon/evening, too.
Dad is in town this week for a music thing and visiting some friends. I think our plan is to go to breakfast on Tuesday, so it'll be good to see him.
Despite just having had a long break, I wish I also had a three-day weekend!
Was more productive at work today, in terms of phones answered and sales made. But I absolutely notice that that means I can't get my other shit done - there is just not enough time in the day, and I don't like it.
I wrote 250 words on my current WIP fic yesterday. It is SAD what a damn hurdle that felt like. I am going to try and force 100 words tonight, because I'm hoping that slow progress - even VERY slow - is going to be measurably better than just... not.
